Acme's commitment to quality and consistency aligned well with Zabar's values, and over time, Saul developed a particularly close relationship with the family-run business. Weekly visits to Acme’s facility in Greenpoint became a hallmark of quality assurance, with Saul personally hand-selecting each batch. Acme became Zabar’s trusted source – leading to a partnership where Acme became Zabar's primary supplier, providing over 90% of its smoked fish. After 75 years, Zabar’s and Acme remain united in their passion for preserving the art and authenticity of smoked fish.
